<strong><em>Executive Presence<\/em><\/strong> means different things to different people at different places. Your Executive Presence exists in the <i>minds of the beholders<\/i>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s about perceptions.\u00a0 And negative perceptions begin when others observe a variety of behaviors and attributes that include:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Inattention to important details:\u00a0 This can be perceived as sloppiness.<\/li><li>Lack of assertiveness &#8211; low participation in meetings<\/li><li>Presentation more <strong><em>respect<\/em> <\/strong>and <strong><em>trust <\/em><\/strong>than those who lack it.\u00a0 What leader wouldn&#8217;t want more respect and trust?<\/p><p>Considering the three factors above: <b>Inattention to important details<\/b>, <b>Lack of assertiveness<\/b>, and <b>Presentation Fear, and<\/b>\u00a0their effect on a leader&#8217;s <em style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Executive Presence<\/em>, developing your gravitas will serve to reduce others&#8217; skepticism.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a19ddff e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" confidence from the <i>inside out<\/i>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a product of your belief system.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re strapped with limiting beliefs your confidence will suffer.\u00a0 If you believe you can fake it, you&#8217;ve just discovered a belief you need to address.\u00a0 How do you work on enhancing your confidence?\u00a0 My biased answer is to work with a coach who has a holistic approach to leadership development.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Effective Communication<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>It&#8217;s important to be clear and concise in your communication. This would potentially move you into the child state with a defensive, negative reaction.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong><em>Each of the three ego states can serve a purpose.
