you could illustrate your current personal sphere-of-influence as an actual sphere.\u00a0 How would your sphere\u2019s diameter\u00a0 compare to other highly influential leaders that you know and admire? \u00a0 If you truly admire them and you\u2019re honest with yourself, your imaginary sphere is smaller by comparison.\u00a0 So now you can envision the gap you\u2019ll want to close.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4de9ae0 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con the\u00a0<em>quantity<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>quality<\/em>\u00a0of your relationships.\u00a0 As you evaluate the quality of both your business and personal relationships, consider these words from Ralph Waldo Emerson:<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>\u201cThe only way to have a friend is to be one.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>In the working world, it is not always practical or appropriate to regularly go out drinking or otherwise socialize with colleagues or important contacts.\u00a0 As you evaluate your\u00a0<em>business relationship quality assurance<\/em>, consider your most important working relationships.\u00a0 To what extent do these VIPs believe they can count on you in their times of need?\u00a0 Are you assuming they hold this belief?\u00a0 Or do you know it for a fact?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1799ee0 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"1799ee0\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Ledger Sheet<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c067d5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2c067d5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In accounting, we keep ledger sheets to keep score of debits and credits.\u00a0 In his 7 Habits book, Stephen Covey discussed how we all keep a mental ledger on the people we know and what they have and haven\u2019t done for us. So, they thereby have an ongoing idea of your account balance: positive or negative.\u00a0 So he recommends developing the\u00a0<strong><em>habit<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of pursuing Win-Win scenarios.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-432ce32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"432ce32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Quality vs. Quantity\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-45fdc19 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"45fdc19\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Most of us already know the people we need to influence.
