original\u00a0<strong><em>Star Trek<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and its successor,\u00a0<strong><em>Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0have a key character with a rare combination of attributes.\u00a0 Both\u00a0<strong>Mr. Spock<\/strong>\u00a0(half Vulcan) and\u00a0<strong>Commander Data<\/strong>\u00a0(an android) have superior intelligence while lacking the ability to have the full experience of human emotion.\u00a0 Their superior officers, Captains Kirk and Picard learned to value and heed the counsel of their brilliant, unemotional crew members, especially in pressure packed moments.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-89ca4f8 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"89ca4f8\" earth, leaders are not as fortunate as\u00a0 Kirk and Picard.\u00a0 Our staffs and teams are 100% human; emotional beings who can and will express the full gamut of feelings.\u00a0 And when emotions of any type run at a high level, all bets on effective decision-making are off.\u00a0 Unlike Vulcans and Androids, we humans are capable of being overcome by our emotions.\u00a0 Be it\u00a0<em><strong>joy<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em><strong>anger<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em><strong>bliss<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em><strong>jealousy<\/strong><\/em>, or\u00a0<em><strong>frustration<\/strong><\/em>, rational thinking can blow a circuit breaker when emotions overload our systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-555e3df e-flex e-con-boxed e-con emotionless, their EQ (Emotional Quotient) was not as relevant.\u00a0 Although they lacked empathy since they struggled to comprehend\u00a0 the concept of others\u2019 feelings. With us humans, EQ does matter. In the business world, EQ can be an even bigger factor in our ability to get business results than IQ.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
