words.\u00a0 I created 99 % of the message below with my voice and the microphone button.\r\n\r\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4533 size-full\" icon<\/strong> to the left of the <strong>space bar<\/strong>?\u00a0 That&#8217;s all I used to create this message &#8211; almost.\u00a0 I did go back and add two &#8220;<strong>?&#8221;<\/strong>s to properly punctuate.\u00a0 To insert a period at the end of a sentence, stop dictation by tapping the microphone, then just tap the space bar twice.\u00a0 Then, you can tap the mic-icon to re-start dictation.\r\n<h3>What About Text Messages?<\/h3>\r\n<strong>Yes<\/strong>, the microphone button works for texts, too.\u00a0 AND any time you see that microphone icon on your keyboard, you can dictate and save time and thumb fumbling frustration.\r\n<h3>User Caveat<\/h3>\r\nVoice recognition is NOT a perfect science.\u00a0 It works great, except when it doesn&#8217;t.\u00a0 So you do need to be more cautious about proof reading <strong><em>before<\/em><\/strong> sending.\u00a0 That said, it continues to improve.\u00a0 And for casual messaging your time savings really add up.\r\n<h3>What A Great New Feature!<\/h3>\r\nWell, not exactly new.\u00a0 It was available on my iPhone 4S.\u00a0 And so was:\r\n<h3>Appointment Scheduling: You&#8217;ve Got <em>People<\/em> for That<\/h3>\r\nWant to schedule a meeting with one of your phone contacts using your iPhone?\u00a0\u00a0 Simply press and briefly hold the HOME button.\u00a0 Then say:\r\n<blockquote>&#8220;Schedule a lunch meeting with Bob for noon on Thursday at Bob Chin&#8217;s in Wheeling&#8221;<\/blockquote>\r\nIf you have more than one <em>Bob<\/em> in your contacts, Siri will ask &#8220;Which Bob?&#8221;\u00a0 After you&#8217;ve selected your <em>Bob<\/em> and confirmed (don&#8217;t skip the confirm part), here&#8217;s what happens:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Siri will tell you that the meeting is scheduled<\/li>\r\n \t<li>She will be correct: the event is added to your calendar with the location, date and time.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Bob will receive a confirming email invitation for the meeting.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIn a matter of <em>seconds<\/em>, you and Bob are booked!\u00a0 Try that with your thumbs.\r\n<h3>Doesn&#8217;t Everyone Know This?<\/h3>\r\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4534 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/chicagoexecutivecoaching.com\/smartleadership\/wp-content\/uploads\/thumbs-up.gif\" alt=\"Thumbs Up\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" title=\"\"><\/h3>\r\nApparently not.
