And they never call in advance to make\u00a0an appointment.<\/p><p>The more experience you have, the better you get at solving your routine problems. \u00a0You become a <strong><em>highly skilled problem solver<\/em><\/strong>. It&#8217;s about conveying an understanding of how the other person is feeling. \u00a0Stop making it about YOU and stop making it about your solution. \u00a0If they want your solution, they will ask. \u00a0Keep your hammer in the tool box. \u00a0Another problem will come along soon enough.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>When someone\u00a0shares their problem or challenge, you should carefully choose\u00a0the best tool for the situation: <strong><em>the hammer<\/em><\/strong> or <strong><em>the handkerchief<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0To make the right choice, you must listen actively and emphatically to capture both the facts and feelings. \u00a0Then, simply share what you&#8217;ve heard: first the <em>facts<\/em>, then the <em>feelings<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0You can then\u00a0quietly observe how this approach can calm those emotions as have fulfilled the other person&#8217;s desperate need to feel listened to.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
