If you think you&#8217;re not in sales, think again. And, consider how\u00a0 securing more agreements more effectively can make you a better leader.\u00a0<\/p><h4>Getting Started<\/h4><p>As an <strong>executive<\/strong>, consider the tasks at hand for any initiative\u00a0 Consider the people needed to <strong><em>execute<\/em> <\/strong>your plan.\u00a0 What <strong>agreements<\/strong> need to be in place to succeed?\u00a0 What have we all <em><strong>agreed<\/strong> <\/em>to?\u00a0 What conversations or written dialog have you secured in advance to assure and define <em><strong>who<\/strong> <\/em>will be doing <strong><em>what<\/em><\/strong> by <em><strong>when<\/strong><\/em>?\u00a0<\/p><p>If you have agreements with all responsible parties, you now have a license to invoke some form of the magic word: <strong>AGREE<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>When shortfalls occur, typically someone has not lived up to an <em><strong>agreement<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 There is a lapse in <em><strong>integrity<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Responsible people are willing to be held accountable for their agreements. When inevitable shortfalls occur, a skilled leader has a license to progressively review unfulfilled agreements by having <strong>adult to adult conversations<\/strong>.\u00a0 And thereby gain the ability to avoid <strong>parent &#8211; child discussions<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Avoidance of accountability discussions is the prevalent trait of a weak leaders and managers.\u00a0 With agreements in place, <em>accountability conversations<\/em> are less stressful and thereby less likely to be avoided.\u00a0 <strong>Integrity<\/strong> and <strong>accountability<\/strong> prevail.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p><h4>&#8230;if you learn to use the magic word&#8230;\u00a0<\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-daa8912
