Steve Terusaki

Executive Coach - Certified Business Coach - Specializing in Professional Service Firms and Faith Based Not-for-Profits

Steve Terusaki

Steve Terusaki works with C-level executives to help them achieve greater success through a process of dynamic inquiry. The process is grounded in “active listening” and works to uncover the assumptions and beliefs that become the deterrents that prevent each of us from being our best.

Having filled roles of CAO, COO and CEO, Steve has personally experienced the challenges that leaders at the C-level face. He is sensitive to the need for the “coaching experience” to be both a sounding board and a cushion for topics that cannot be discussed in any other place nor with any other person. Confidentiality and trust are paramount; providing the safe zone to allow these conversations to occur.

Steve utilizes proven behavioral and talent assessment tools to identify areas important in leadership development for leaders to understand and improve upon at all points in their careers.  He combines that insight with robust coaching processes customized to clients’ needs.

Steve received his MBA from the Berkeley Haas School of Business. His coaching work embodies the four Defining Principles of the School:

  1. Students Always
  2. Question the Status Quo
  3. Beyond Yourself
  4. Confidence Without Attitude

Steve sits on many non-profit Boards; is co-president of the Berkeley-Haas Alumni Network East Bay Chapter; and is a Business Coach for the U.C. Berkeley Executive Education Program.
