Holiday Greetings to My Loyal Subscribers and Friends

I’ve shared Life “On The Train” at the start of every holiday season since 2005.  As with It’s A Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street, its message is both timeless and timely.  Timely in that life’s changes create new thoughts of different passengers who have come and gone over the year.

  • I urge you to view this video and
  • Take it to heart.
  • Consider what’s changed.
  • Then ask yourself: What will I do differently to enhance my important relationships?
  • Write down your intentions. You will then be more inclined to make them happen.

Sure, here is a more detailed description of the inspiring message of the “Life on a Train” video that you traditionally share at Thanksgiving:

Life on a Train: A Journey of Gratitude

As we approach the Thanksgiving season, a time for reflection and appreciation, it’s fitting to revisit the timeless message of “Life on a Train.” This heartwarming video, which has been a staple of my Thanksgiving newsletters since 2005, continues to inspire and uplift viewers by reminding us of the simple yet profound gifts that life has to offer.

The video takes us on a metaphorical journey aboard a train, where each passenger represents a different stage or experience in life. As the train travels through various landscapes, we witness the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows, the triumphs and failures that make up the human experience.

Amidst the ebb and flow of life’s events, the video highlights the importance of cultivating an attitude of gratitude. By acknowledging and appreciating the blessings in our lives, regardless of circumstances, we open ourselves up to a deeper sense of fulfillment and happiness.

The video’s message resonates particularly during Thanksgiving, a time when we are explicitly reminded to express gratitude for the abundance in our lives. However, the power of gratitude extends far beyond the holiday season. It is a practice that can be cultivated and nurtured throughout the year, transforming our outlook and enriching our lives.

By embracing gratitude, we become more mindful of the positive aspects of our lives, even amidst challenges. We develop a deeper appreciation for the people, experiences, and opportunities that enrich our existence. And we foster a sense of contentment and inner peace that empowers us to navigate life’s uncertainties with greater resilience.

As you watch “Life on a Train” this Thanksgiving, allow its message to permeate your heart and guide your approach to life. Embrace the power of gratitude, and discover the transformative impact it can have on your personal and professional endeavors.

  2. Thanks for sharing Life on the Train each year Tom. I share it with my own daughters each year as a reminder. It’s a wonderful analogy for life and if we can only keep the moral of the story in mind I’m sure our lives would be enriched.
Best to you and your family this holiday season
